Whilst watching 'The Record of the Year' today, the commercials, around 6pm, showed - what
I can only say is - one of the most outrageous adverts ever, about a mini-cab driver,
convicted for sex abuse, picking up a young woman, ending with a tag-line: get a black cab
or a night bus.
I did not catch all the sponsors, but one of them was from the Mayor Of London.
I find black cabs offensive generally, but to slag off mini-cabs in this way is shameful
and clearly libellous, and now I have more contempt for black cabs than ever before.
I urge all mini cab firms to club together to fight back with an ad of their own.
